I don"t know if it was the fact that many ticket brokers recieved too many tickets and the schools not receiving enough, if it was the christmas and new years holiday"s putting a burden on everyone"s checkbooks, or if it was just the fans not wanting to decide weather to attend the game because of high prices then realizing the prices won"t get any better.

But the prices for tickets to the 2008 BCS championship game started out on ebay and ticket sites at between $900 - $3500 each. Then during the christmas holiday prices started to dip.

People were finding good deals on ebay, craigs list, and ticket sites. The prices dropped to about $600 - $3000 per tickets (depending on seating location in the superdome).

But as of January 1st the prices started a steady climb again. Prices now are steadily rising on ebay and craigslist and most of the ticket broker sites don"t even have anymore bcs championship tickets.

The prices as of January 2nd 2008 6pm ranged from $800 - $4200 each on ebay and craigslist, and seem to be going up with the end of each auction on ebay.

Many people said that Ohio State #1 and LSU #2 playing in new orleans louisiana would pack the stands of the superdome and cause ticket prices to skyrocket and even though it took a little time, it seems to be doing just that. So if you are looking for tickets to the game, good luck.

I"ve tracked the auctions daily and found that the sooner you buy the better, or you probably won"t make the game. (scalping is illegal in Louisiana, so buy before you go).
